Choosing to Simplify: A Poem to Remember What You Already Are.
Sometimes we complicate life...
We think that loving means self-annihilation...
That having strength
means forcing what we don't want.
And that having hope means waiting,
waiting, waiting... eternally.
And it gets worse. We unconsciously think we don't deserve the best. Because
we ourselves don't treat ourselves with the respect we deserve...
We
don't even observe life as it would like to be seen.
We try to compensate for this with memorized prayers, with emotionless gratitude, instead of understanding what the heart wants to tell us.
This poem was born to simplify. With it, I understood what my heart wanted to say.
Choosing to Simplify ๐️
Being happy — is being grateful.
Believing — is praying.
But to be happy and grateful...
it's necessary to honor yourself.
Honoring is respecting.
Respecting is loving.
Loving yourself is
being authentic.
Being authentic
is honoring yourself.
There's no need to force it:
every sincere smile
is already
gratitude.
There's no need to pray,
when you already live in prayer.
You don't even need to please
to prove love.
To be alive — is to have hope.
To have hope — is to be strong.
To be
here
is to be very strong.
There's no need to ask
or reach for something distant.
Just breathe and feel:
I already am.
I am already strong.
I already deserve it.
To exist is to deserve.
To continue is to deserve.
To love
oneself
is to deserve.
Yes.
I DESERVE IT.
I always deserved it.
Every day, I choose to see:
that breathing is deserving,
that
deciding is allowing,
and allowing
is choosing.
I choose to simplify.
I choose to remember.
I choose to be.
I AM.
