Practical Self-Mastery Course - CLASS 02: "EGO, The Little Me".

Practical Self-Mastery Course - CLASS 02: "EGO, The Little Me".

How many times have you sabotaged yourself without even realizing it?

That voice in your head that convinces you that "it won't work" before you even try... Or when you were doing really well at something and, out of nowhere, started to self-sabotage your own achievements?

If you've ever been through this, welcome to the club! You've just met your oldest arch-rival: the famous EGO.

I thought a lot about what would be the ideal topic to continue this "course", and, inspired by an experience I had recently (and that I'm going to share with you), combined with the review of the Letters of Christ, I came to the conclusion that we need to master this art before anything else.

To continue delving into the first Universal Law of Existence and explore how we can improve our consciousness, it became essential that we first learn how to deal with something that can be the greatest saboteur of Self-Mastery: our ego.

Who is the Ego and What is its Function?

Let's start by giving a body to this character that everyone talks about, but few really understand.

In the Letters of Christ, Sananda defines the Ego very directly: "It is the Consciousness that has become visible by assuming a material form."

To facilitate our alchemical understanding, imagine the ego as a tool of manifestation — responsible for enabling a single Universal Consciousness to materialize in small individual forms (us humans) and inhabit denser dimensions, such as our beloved Third Dimension.

The Guardian of Individuality.

Sananda calls it "The Guardian of Individuality." We can imagine it as a sophisticated program installed in each human consciousness, ensuring that you have your own unique personality in this earthly experience.

It is like a Divine Artificial Intelligence, created to enable a single Universal Consciousness to live multiple different experiences simultaneously.

Brilliant, isn't it?

How does this "Machine" Ego work?

Here I will use the beautiful metaphor that Sananda presents:

At the moment of conception, the ego is already "installed" in the consciousness of the new being. It starts to work while still in the womb — the baby already perceives what pleases him/her and what causes discomfort through the sensations shared with the mother.

At the moment of birth, the first impulse of the ego comes into action: upon feeling the emptiness of leaving the comfort of the womb, it triggers the feeling of lack. The reaction? Immediate crying! Ensuring that the need for safety is met.

First feeding: when the baby is placed on the mother's lap and fed, the ego records this as "positive" — it accesses the feeling of fulfillment again and sees its "satisfaction" trigger working.

The Subconscious Filing System.

Here's the trick: the baby is not able to classify experiences consciously, but the ego is there, active, recording everything.

Each experience goes to the subconscious marked as:

✅ "Safe for survival"
❌ "Threat to survival"

These records will influence the person's personality even without the person remembering the events that created them.

Practical example: if a baby cries because he is hungry but is ignored, the ego can install a "memory of scarcity" — a subconscious fear that his needs will not be met, influencing behaviors in adult life.

The Original Mission of the Ego.

Before we continue, I need to make something very clear: the ego is not the villain of the story. In the Letters of Christ, Sananda explains:

"Without the drive of the EGO there would be no creation, no individuality, no satisfaction of needs, no protection, no warm responses, and no human love. Without the drive of the EGO there would be no self-defense, no self-protection, no survival."

Did you get it? It is essential to our human experience!

Its Original Functions:

• To ensure physical survival.
• To develop individuality.
• To protect the consciousness from threats.
• To satisfy basic needs.
• To create emotional bonds.

The Two Basic Impulses of the Ego.

The ego operates through two simple mechanisms:

๐Ÿงฒ ATTACHMENT.

Attraction to everything that is considered "safe" or "beneficial".

๐Ÿšซ REJECTION.

Repulsion to everything that is considered "threatening" or "harmful".

When balanced, these impulses work perfectly:

• They motivate you to grow professionally (guaranteeing resources).
• They make you avoid dangerous situations (preserving your life).
• They connect you with people who are good for you.

The problem arises when these impulses become unbalanced...

The Smartphone Without a Manual.

Imagine receiving a super-advanced smartphone, but without an instruction manual. You fumble with the basic functions, but never manage to use the device's full potential.

This is exactly what happens to our ego!

We have an extremely sensitive and powerful tool, but since no one taught us how to use its functions correctly, it never works as it should.

Result: excessive attachment, greed, desperate competition, hatred, jealousy... All kinds of behavior that distance us from our essence.

Initial Programming (0-15 years).

What defines how your ego will function occurs mainly in childhood and adolescence.

Imbalanced scenario: a child constantly frustrated, with desires denied without explanation, treated with impatience or neglect.

Ego reaction: "Threat detected! I must protect this being!"

Result: unbalanced impulses that replicate themselves in adulthood.

Balanced scenario: clear limits, but with loving explanations. A child learns that fluctuations are part of life, without feeling threatened.

My Own Freefall with the Ego.

Now I'm going to share a personal experience that made me understand, in practice, everything I'm teaching here.

After five years of intense study of universal laws, I felt like a true "spiritual master." I thought I had mastered all the concepts, that I was practically unshakable.

My ego was whispering: "You already know everything, you don't need these basic practices anymore..." And I believed it.

I began to neglect crucial moments: meditation became "optional," prayer then... "why pray if I already know how everything works?"

I created a perfect bubble around myself — I only consumed positive news, only "evolved" readings. I neglected basic spiritual protection because, after all, "my dowsing techniques already completely shielded me."

The result?

Breaches opened up. My energy — which I thought was highly protected — began to plummet. I was acting not out of trust in the Whole, but out of the ego's arrogance in believing itself perfect.

The fall was devastating.

Days when a depressive state took hold of me and nothing seemed to make sense anymore. I, who considered myself so "evolved," was completely lost.

Until, "by magic" (or divine synchronicity), I opened a page of the Letters of Christ and the light came on: the ego was there, like a great black wolf dominating my consciousness.

That's when the penny dropped: knowledge without the practice of recognizing and calming one's own ego is a lost artifice.

๐Ÿ”„ The Transmutation of the Small Self.

When imbalance has already set in, theoretical knowledge alone is no use. This is one of the greatest pitfalls for those beginning their spiritual awakening.

Sananda makes a perfect analogy: our consciousness is like a field that needs to be prepared before receiving the seed.

๐ŸŒฑ The field = our consciousness.
๐ŸŒพ The plantation = universal wisdom.
๐ŸŒฟ The weeds = egoic conditioning.

Until we completely clear the field, we will always find old conditioning sprouting disguised as good intentions.

The Lesson of the Desert.

Sananda recounts that, after 40 days in the desert connected to the Creative Source, he felt physically weakened by hunger.

Remembering all the knowledge about how consciousness operates on matter, he almost gave the mental order to transform a stone into bread.

But he stopped.

He realized he was thinking from the "little human self" — from the automatic impulse of the ego.

Then he turned to the Creative Consciousness and asked IT to grant him strength in the most correct way for him.

And it was answered.

๐Ÿ’Ž The Alchemical Transmutation.

The real lesson here is about transmutation: transforming the automatic impulse of self-preservation into conscious trust in Source.

It doesn't mean "not acting." It means acting in alignment with higher wisdom, not just survival instinct.

How to do this in practice?

1. Conscious pause: Before reacting automatically, breathe.
2. Question: "Is this my ego speaking or my essence?"
3. Surrender: "Source, what's the best way to handle this?"
4. Trust: The right direction will come quickly.

Alchemical Experiment.

Now I will give you a practical task to start practicing this transmutation:

๐Ÿ“ Ego Diary.

For 7 days, write down:

Morning: A situation where you noticed your ego "speaking loudly".

Night: How you could have reacted in a way that was more aligned with your essence.

Example:

Morning: "I was irritated because my colleague received praise that I wanted",

Night: "I could have been genuinely happy for his success and trusted that my recognition would come at the right time".

Finish by asking your Essence (Divine Spark) to send you confirmation that you are on the right path.

Key Points for Knowledge.

The Ego Is a Tool, Not an Enemy.

• It was created to protect and individualize us.

• The problem is in the imbalance, not in its existence.

Balance Is Everything.

• Balanced connection and rejection = harmonious life.

• Unbalanced impulses = unnecessary suffering.

Conscious Transmutation.

• Stop, question, surrender, trust.

• Act from the essence, not from automatic instinct.

Knowledge Without Practice = Illusion.

• Studying without working on the ego is like building castles in the sand.

• Humility is the antidote to spiritual arrogance.

In the next class, we will delve into what Sananda calls "Contact with the Creative Source" — that experience in the desert that completely changed his perception of the power of consciousness.

I will detail what the true Divine nature is and how it can help you differentiate the Ego from the Essence in practice.

๐Ÿ’ญ Final Reflection.

Make your own reflections on everything I shared here. Notice what resonated with you during the reading and question everything else for yourself. Always remember to only accept as truth that which resonates.

Question for reflection: Where in your life might you be confusing knowledge with applied wisdom?

Share your experience in the comments — I love exchanging ideas with other alchemists on a journey!

Remember: the ego is not to be destroyed, but transmuted. It is an essential part of the human experience when it functions in the service of our essence, not as the absolute master of our choices.

Until the next transmutation!

Keep alchemizing knowledge into practical wisdom. The laboratory of life is always open for your conscious experiments.
